Six Chinese export porcelain blue and white plates and soup dishes
18th / early 19th century, all circular, one painted with a figure of a fisherman beneath a pine tree on the shore of a lake, a diaper band to the rim, 9¼in. (23.5cm.) diameter; one with a table and various precious objects, within a berry and bamboo border to the rim, 8 7/8in. (22.5cm.) diameter; one with bamboo and flowers beside rockwork and a fence, 9 1/8in. (23.2cm.) diameter; one with a lake landscape with a pagoda and distant palace, within a floral pendant rim, 9¼in. (, 23.5cm.) diameter; one with a tree and flowers within a border of lotus flowers, 8 7/8in. (22.5cm.) diameter; and a larger plate painted with a figure outside a pagoda on a lake shore, the rim with three floral sprays, 10 7/8in. (27.5cm.) diameter, drilled. (6)

  • Condition: - Fisherman: Three tiny glaze frits to the rim.
    - Precious objects: Two small chips and several glaze frits to rim.
    - Garden: Two small chips and several glaze flakes and frits to rim. Some glaze scratching to centre.
    - Lake: Good with no faults.
    - Tree: One tiny glaze frit to rim. No other faults.
    - Larger plate: Has been drilled to top of rim to fit a hanging wire. Hairline to rim and small chip to rim opposite. Some glaze loss all round the rim.

Although there are no major restrictions concerning the exportation of any works of art or antiquities being offered in this Guernsey auction, buyers are obviously responsible for the proper importation of their purchases into their country of destination. Your attention is directed to the CITES regulations in your country and no items subject to CITES can leave Guernsey without a CITES certificate. No ivory items can be sent to the USA.
