the first by 'Elizabeth Bennett Worked This Sampler 1839 in the Tenth Year of her Age', with tree of life flanked by angels, stags, lions and urns of flowers, with motto panel to centre, in mahogany and ebonised frame; 16 x 12 7/8in. (40.5 x 32.75cm.); the second by 'Mary Ann Honey March 10 1820 Aged 8 Years', with central house flanked by birds in trees, surrounded by flowering plants and animals, motto panel to top, 17 x 13 3/4in. (43 x 35cm.), in Hogarth frame; the third by 'Anne Taylor Aged 13 Years', the central motto panel surrounded by flowering plants, small trees, a pair of lions and a man in a top hat, 12 3/4 x 11 1/4in. (32.5 x 28.5cm.), in bird's eye maple frame. (3)
