Edmund Blampied RBA, RE (Jersey, 1886-1966)
A large collection of works on paper contained within a portfolio 17 x 22in. (43.2 x 55.9cm.), the cover painted in oils of a kicking horse, signed "Blampied". The collection comprising fifty-eight loose sheets, mostly original caricatures, including "For all the world like a seed potato which is waiting for the Winters passing....", signed with initials and dated 1941, 17½ x 10½in. (44.4 x 26.7cm.); "Lander of MacShlancy", (a caricature of Blampied's friend and fellow artist John St Helier Lander) signed with initials, 9 x 5¾in. (22.9 x 14.6cm.); "La Sergente - Bronco", signed with initials and dated 1942, 12¼ x 9¾in. (31.1 x 24.8cm.); "My dad wants to know......" inscribed Occupation Jersey May 1942 and signed "Blampied, 17¾ x 10¾in. (45 x 27.3cm.); "One of the converts.... signed "Blampi", 12 1/8 x 9¼in. 30.8 x 23.5cm.); together with a lithograph of a Running Horse signed in pencil and numbered 34/50, and twelve further printed items including three silhouettes, "Morning Mile", "Vraic Harvesting", and "Over, Jersey Drag Hunt", each signed and titled in pencil, 10 x 12½in. (25.4 x 31.7cm.)

All lots, with the exception of furniture and large items, will be shipped to Mail Boxes Etc in Portsmouth, UK at a minimum charge of £10 per lot, dependant on lot size and number of lots purchased. Arrangements for onward delivery or collection from Mail Boxes Etc are the responsibility of the buyer and will incur additional delivery charges.

Although there are no major restrictions concerning the exportation of any works of art or antiquities being offered in this Guernsey auction, buyers are obviously responsible for the proper importation of their purchases into their country of destination. Your attention is directed to the CITES regulations in your country and no items subject to CITES can leave Guernsey without a CITES certificate. No ivory items can be sent to the USA.
