* The 26 ton cutter Watersprite was built in 1818 in Ipswich and later twice lengthened, increasing to 34 tons in 1850 and 36 ½ tons in 1858. Extracts from Guernsey Almanacs show that she was in regular use between Guernsey and St Malo in 1855, and was owned by J. Robinson & Co. during this period, with the Master J. B. Digard.

  • Condition: Has been cleaned and restored in the recent past. Minor retouching visible in places under UV, mainly to craquelure and margins. Some strengthening visible to rigging and flags. In good condition overall.
