An unusual rosewood marquetry Bonheur du Jour
in the manner of Charles Topino, French, 19th century, inlaid overall with floral, urn and musical instrument decoration, the inverse breakfront upper section fitted with six drawers and a brass gallery, the base with canted corners with gilt brass mounts and an inverse breakfront top, over a single frieze drawer inlaid with a series of jugs and urns, opening to reveal a secretaire drawer with three fitted drawers and gilt tooled leather writing surface, over a tambour front cupboard inlaid with classical ruins viewed through an arch, opening to reveal a fitted interior with four drawers inlaid with urns flanking a small tambour cupboard which opens to reveal two hidden drawers, over an inverse breakfront undertier and cabriole legs terminating in gilt brass mounted feet, 25in (63cm) wide x 37in (94cm) high x 18in (46cm) deep.
