with mother of pearl inlay painted with flowers & gilding, velvet writing surface and fitted for pens and inkwell, 14 x 10¼ x 3¾in. (35.6 x 26.1 x 9.5cm.).

Clos des Tours was the home of the late Hon. John Alexander Coutanche OBE (1925-2006), and previously his father, Lord Alexander Moncrieff Coutanche, Baron Coutanche (1892-1973).

  • Condition: Some rubbing to decoration, M.O.P intact, some crazing and cracking, overall good.
