A Victorian brass letter clip made by Merry, Phipson & Parker
marked with maker's name, "letter clip", and stating that the design was registered on October 3rd 1843, featuring the Royal Arms of the United Kingdom, 11cm. long, together with an unusual 19th century brass lidded box of three compartments with hinged lid and screw fastener, the lid featuring a stag's head above pair of rampant lions, stamped "London", 8 x 8.7cm. x 3cm. high.
