A pair of Japanese cloisonné vases by Ota Tameshiso
Meiji period, of four sided tapered ovoid form, decorated in fine silver wire on a dark blue ground, the two blue shaped panels with birds in prunus in a garden setting, the two pale green panels with irises and other flowers, the geometric and floral decoration of the slender, waisted neck extending onto the shoulders and conforming with that separating the reserves, signed to the base, 7in. (17.8cm.) high. (2)

CONDITION REPORT: One is in good condition, with no damage or restoration noted. The other vase has a small bruise and associated very faint hairline cracks to one corner of the shoulder, plus a very small bruise and minute flake to the dark blue shoulder, just below the tip of the pendant decoration.
