A fine marine campaign style mahogany writing slope
mid 19th century, of oblong form with brass bound corners and brass swing handles, the interior with brass lock plate engraved F.Bramhah Patent, adjusting key and bolts for securing to a fixed surface on a marine vessel, the interior lid with fall front letter rack, the interior base with hinged slope, pen tray, ink bottle and lift-out section with semi-secret red morocco lined fitted drawer containing glass phials, ivory boxes and compartments, 21.5in (54.5cm) wide, 8in (20cm) high, 11in (28cm) deep.
