A Japanese Satsuma earthenware bowl by Hododa
Meiji period (1868-1912), of lobed circular form with scalloped rim, the interior and exterior decorated with figural cartouches including Geisha by the waterside and seated scholars, the base with Satsuma mon and gilt four character mark on black, 8.25in. (21cm.) diameter.
