with pierced skull-cap style pommel, wire bound shagreen grip, buckskin backed and red cloth liner, crimson tassels, the pierced steel basket hilt with heart-shaped decoration, the 32in (81cm) engraved steel fullered blade with Royal cypher, coat of arms and thistles, with sharpened point, engraved Henry Wilkinson, Pall Mall. London and numbered 54872, the leather scabbard with steel throat and foot, broken leather strap, total length 40in (102cm).
