A George III silver tray
London 1799, maker John Emes, of oval form, with engraved armorial within a scrolling fruiting and floral vine border and reeded rim, with matching reeded loop handles with acanthus mounts, weight 68oz 22in (56cm) wide.

  • Notes: The Armorial shows signs of wear through cleaning. Top could do with a clean. Some light scratces, none too deep. Nice band of floral, acorn and leaf engraving around armorial. The hallmarks which are on the underside are very crisp. Lots of scratches to the base at all different angles.
