A George II silver tankard Newcastle 1747-8, maker Isaac Cookson, the domed and hinged lid with pierced thumbpiece, the scroll shaped handle with teardrop decoration below the hinge and a heart-shaped terminal, the plain baluster shaped body with raised girdle set on a stepped circular foot, the base marked with initials CD, weight 25oz 8in (20.5cm) high.
