20th century, the clock with 8 day movement striking on a gong, with urn finial and dove and acanthus leaf crest, over an enamelled Roman Numeral dial with floral painted band and gilt hands, within a gilt metal egg and dart bezel, the gilt Rococo style case marked 'Brunfau', with inset porcelain plaque painted with a scene of young lovers, between floral banded puce porcelain columns, the matching urn garniture with painted plaques of a cottage beside a lake, on gold painted wooden and velvet bases, the clock 15.5in (39.5cm) high (3).
