A Doulton Lambeth stoneware salad bowl by Elizabeth M Small (circa 1881-1884), of circular form decorated with mainly deep blue, brown and green colours and stylised flowers, set on a circular foot, with two impressed Doulton Lambeth marks, 1882 and the monogram EMS incised in script, 9.5in (24cm) diameter.
