A 19th century French ebonised wood and ormolu mounted cave a liqueur
the glazed lid lifting with hinged swing back front and fold back sides to reveal a removable wooden tiered tray with gilt metal mounts and handle, containing four grape vine and greek key etched glass decanters with mushroom stoppers, having eleven of the original sixteen cordial glasses, raised on four ormolu face mask feet to ornate pierced ormolu trim, original key, 14 ¾ x 11 ¾in. (37.5 x 30cm.), 11 ¼in. (28.5cm.) high.

  • Condition: Right fold back side loose when closed, splits to ebonised wood, some ormolu mounts loose, one mushroom stopper with naive repair to neck, flea-bite nibble to two glasses, overall fair/good, appealing to the eye.
