A 1½ pint silver Jersey milk can
Kenneth Tyler Key, Birmingham, 1948, of typical Jersey form, bearing the Jersey crest and inscribed "from Florence Lady Trent 1949", 6in. (15.3cm.) high, weight 10.0 tr.oz.
*Provenance: Lord & Lady Coutanche. Sir Alexander Coutance, later Lord Coutanche, was Bailiff of Jersey during the German Occupation of Jersey. Florence Boot, Lady Trent (1863-1952) was married to Jesse Boot (1850-1931) founder of Boots the Chemist. The couple moved to Jersey in 1928 and came to be among the island's greatest philanthropists.
