Description:

2003 Alfa Romeo 156 GTA (BUYERS PREMIUM 10%)
3.2 V6 ‘Busso' engine, 6 speed manual, original UK car with extensive service history – purchased in Derbyshire and imported into Guernsey in 2015. Pale metallic blue (Azzuro Gabbiano) with original alloys. Black and grey two-tone leather interior with heated front seats and original Bose stereo system. Becoming quite a rare car on the roads, with only 134 cars currently taxed and on the road in the UK.

A very original car which has been in the current ownership since 2015. Now requires some bodywork restoration due to rust in the usual place on the leading edge of the front wings and a slight dent to the front of the passenger front door. Most importantly the car is mechanically very sound with a recent cambelt and water pump change, new fuel pump and rebuilt ECU – all carried out last year (2023). It was also fitted with a new battery early in 2024. The car hasn't been driven regularly for approx. 12 months since the cambelt was changed and it will require a service and attention to the brakes, which have rusty discs, prior to use.

The car had a full top-end engine rebuild in February 2016 at the Alfa V6 specialists Autolusso near Bournemouth – the engine was powder coated and detailed when out of the car and a full stainless steel custom exhaust system fitted with Wizard de-cat downpipes, which reportedly sounds fabulous. Invoices available to view for this work in the service history file, which cost just under £5,000 at that time. The clutch was also replaced when the engine was out and the car has covered approx. 10,000 miles since that date.

We are informed that this is a very well sorted example of the 156 GTA which is largely original, with the exception of the detailed engine and exhaust upgrades. It is reported to drive very well and is looking for the next owner to enjoy it and carry out some running restoration to the bodywork over the coming winter.
