The pre-eminent auctioneers in the Channel Islands, Martel Maides have achieved some extraordinary hammer prices and dispersed some of the finest house contents on the islands of Guernsey, Jersey, Alderney, Herm and Sark. In their 50th year Martel Maides have hired new staff, introduced new sale categories and are looking to bigger premises all to ensure that the next 50 years are as successful, if not more successful than the previous 50.

After 25 years at Cornet Street in St Peter Port, Martel Maides are on the move to larger premises with more information in due course. With an eye to another 50 years of growth and success, in 2025 Martel Maides have hired internationally renowned ceramics specialist Douglas Strang Stewart as a consultant and announced a raft of new sales categories including a Maritime Sale, reflecting the location and history of the island and a Motoring Sale for both classic and modern cars. Later in the year MMA will be offering a stunning single owner collection of William De Morgan pottery in addition to its regular run of quarterly Fine Art Sales.
