We hold regular auctions of cherished Guernsey vehicle number plates, which are available to all owners of Guernsey registered cars, vans and motorcycles.
Whilst we are the States of Guernsey’s preferred auctioneers for the sale of numbers that are released directly by the local government, we also specialize in the resale of numbers by private vendors. Whilst there is always strong local demand from buyers of single, double and three-digit plates, the strength of the market is usually for 4 digit numbers.
Over the past 2 decades, the value of Guernsey number plates has risen far in excess of inflation and they have proved an excellent investment. 4 digit car plates typically achieve between £1,000 and £2,500 but special numbers can far exceed this range. Whilst £240,000 was achieved for the truly unique 007 (estimate £60,000 - £70,000) which unsurprisingly ended up on an Aston Martin, other 3 digit car numbers usually fall between £10,000 and £20,000.
We also offer cars and indeed farm vehicles for sale, from a one-off MGB to the Dame of Sark’s motorized tricycle and historic horse-pulled carts.
