fourth quarter of the 19th century, modelled with one boy leaning backwards wearing green trousers and striped purple, red and white jacket with gilt detailing, the other wearing yellow trousers and white jacket with colourful floral sprigs and gilt detailing, both standing on a rustic oval base with applied floral decoration, impressed mark "254" and double blue crossed swords and dot mark with letter "E" & "J" in overglaze blue, 5 1/2in. (14cm.) high.
