of assembled pieces by George Ibberson & Co and Atkin Brothers, various dates, first quarter 20th century, silver pieces mostly 1907/1912, to include four (4) silver knife rests; twenty four (24) bone effect handled stainless steel table knives, 10 ¼in. (26cm.) & twenty four (24) dessert knives; three piece & four piece carving sets (7); six (6) silver napkin / serviette rings various patterns; twenty four (24) silver dessert forks, 7in. (17.8cm.); twenty four (24) table spoons, 7 ¾in. (19.8cm.); twenty four (24) coffee spoons; fish carvers (2); twenty four (24) fish knives, 8 ½in. (21.6cm.); twenty four (24) fish forks; twenty four (24) fruit knives and twenty four (24) fruit forks with silver with mother of pearl handles; two (2) pairs of sugar tongs; twenty four (24) teaspoons; twenty four (24) dessert spoons, 7in. (17.8cm.); twelve (12) steel bladed mother of pearl dessert knives and twelve (12) steel & mother of pearl dessert forks; two (2) gravy / basting spoons, 11 ¾in. (29.8cm.); soup ladle (1); six (6) sauce ladles; six (6) table spoons, 8 ½in. (21.6cm.); twenty four (24) soup spoons, all pieces inscribed with 'W', weight of silver pieces without silver bladed mother of pearl fruit knives & forks, 344 tr.oz., the 1920s canteen with fitted top hinged compartment over a bank of five fitted drawers with security locking mechanism, the stand with single vacant drawer, all with brass edge mouldings and original drop handles, on cabriole legs with ball and claw feet, retailer's plaque for George Ibberson & Co., Sheffield, 29 ½ x 21 ½in. (75 x 54.5cm.), 52 ¾in. (134cm.), high.
* Formerly the property of Joseph Ward (1864-1941), Master Cutler of the Cutler's Company of Sheffield from 1931-1940 and Chariman of the family firm T.W Ward from 1919 until his death in 1941. 

  • Condition: Mostly very good, one steel bladed mother of pearl dessert knife with detached handle, dessert spoons with light scratches to bowls, a few pieces of bone handled and mother of pearl handled pieces with light rubbing to inscribed letter 'W', a few little flea-bite nibbles to blades etc. (very good)
