Description:

A fine pair of Queen Anne flintlock holster pistols
circa 1710, the bulbous butts with grotesque dog head butt caps and finely inlaid silver wire scrolls, also each with two foliate pierced silver escutcheons, the trigger guards engraved with floral arrows, the 7in (18cm) proofed three-section turn-off cannon barrels inscribed B. Brooke, Londini, total length 12in (30.5cm).
